Flowers...Everywhere!!

With spring in full bloom, many are turning their lenses upon the myriad wildflowers that abound this time of year.
Photographing wildflowers can be fun but challenging. Even more challenging though is correctly identifying our captured beauties.
There are many reliable sources on-line and in print to I.D. the flowers and plants we find but this one's got me stumped!
I can't find it anywhere in my list of sources.
These tiny ground-level flowers were photographed a few weeks ago in eastern Maryland.
...anyone have any ideas?

  Bob,

I think it may actually be concidered a weed called red dead nettle. Check this out:

Those are some pretty weeds there Bob.

I have a bunch of pretty yellow flowered weeds mixed with the dandelions by my house. The bees really like them but they will be mowed down in a day or two.

Thanks Todd, Stephanie and Carlton for helping me out with this I.D.

(Perhaps I should have Googled "weed I.D.'s" instead of scrolling through a ga-zillion pages of purple/lavender/pink flowers.)

Bob
