Also, want to add that the shutter speed was 1/90 and I didn't get the aperture recorded. I had my digital and film cameras both with me and took pictures with both from my van, but only carried my film camera with me when I moved in closer. I was able to get some really nice pictures of this owl before he got bored watching me and flew off.

Bradley, you sound like me. I can picture you standing there trying to make sure you get the shot with all your different equipment! I'm laughing, cuz we'd be a frantic pair were we ever to go on a shoot together. Talk about spastic! Kidding. I like this silhouette effect. Definitely looks like an owl with the square head. I seldom see owls in flight--usually photographed on a tree branch.
