Rippled Abstract
This is a composite of two photos - a close-up of colorful, striped upholstery on a sofa seat and an architectural detail of a louvered window in an old building. I cropped the colored one to square and then used the spherize distortion tool to create the circle. I deleted the background and copied only the sphere which I laid over the window. I used a blend mode - vivid light? hard light? can't remember for sure to fuse the two and was absolutely enchanted with the way the pattern rippled over the slats of the louvres. Thought about calling it "Rainbow Ribbons" or something like that, but decided I didn't want to suggest a source subject in the title, so "Rippled Abstract" it is. Category: Techniques
