I am presently taking a course at the local college and we are doing similar work. Your shot is the best I have ever seen. How did you get the yellow circle in the background? Wow!!!

  Hello randy,

Thanks for your comment.
After the carafe I placed a window glass with a special structure in it. Behind this structured glass I placed a blue cardboard as background. On this blue cardboard I pasted a yellow cardboard circle. Because of the distance between the special structured window glass and the coloured cardboard, I got this effect.
Good luck with your course!!

hey guys, This is an ART contest and in my opinion all of the winners had excellent shots, all for different reasons. I would bet that more than one or two people judged it and it couldn't have been an easy job at all. Dannys shot is very, very, striking but now that I have had time to think about it, it isn't very original. I saw something like his that won an honerable mention in popular photography about a year ago and maybe thats why it wasn't a grand prize winner. Danny should be very proud and pleased that his art was recognized as ONE of the best and it is.....chill and enjoy,Donnarae
